The full process

How Next Goal USA works.

A clear, honest path from creating your account to your first conversation with a US college coach. Here's what to expect at every step — for athletes, coaches, and agencies.

For athletes

Six steps from "I want to play in college" to your first real recruiting conversation.

01

Create your free account

Sign up in under a minute with your email. Tell us your sport and where you are in your journey — current high-schooler, recent graduate, or college transfer.

02

Build your athlete profile

Add your position, club and high-school teams, height, weight, key athletic stats, GPA, and SAT/ACT scores. The more complete your profile, the more coaches notice you.

03

Upload your highlight reel

Drop in a YouTube or Vimeo link and your film plays right on your profile. Coaches can watch you compete without leaving the platform.

04

Wait for our approval

Every athlete profile is reviewed by our team before it goes live. We do this for coaches and agencies too — it keeps the platform free of fake profiles and scams. Most are reviewed within a few business days.

05

Get discovered by coaches

Once approved, college coaches across NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA can find you through filtered searches by sport, position, grad year, GPA, and state.

06

Wait for the first message

To protect athletes — especially minors — players cannot message coaches first. A college coach will reach out when they're interested. Once they do, you can reply and the conversation flows freely from there.

07

Track your recruiting journey

Save the colleges you're interested in, see who's viewed your profile, and keep every conversation organized in one place until you commit.

What you'll need to get started

Basic personal info: name, email, country, graduation year
Sport, position, and competitive level
Athletic stats relevant to your sport
Academics: GPA and, if you have them, SAT/ACT scores
A YouTube or Vimeo highlight reel (a basic phone-recorded reel is fine to start)
For minors aged 16–17: a parent or guardian's consent

For college coaches

01

Apply for a verified coach account

We manually confirm your role with the program before activating your account — typically within a few business days — so athletes know they're talking to a real coach.

02

Set your program profile

Add your school, division, conference, and what you look for in recruits.

03

Search and shortlist

Filter athletes by sport, position, GPA, grad year, and state. Build shortlists for your assistants to review.

04

Start the conversation

You can message any athlete directly. Athletes are not allowed to message you first — recruiting conversations with athletes always begin with you. Agencies can also reach out to introduce athletes they represent. You can request additional film at any time.

For recruiting agencies

01

Apply for a verified agency account

Every agency is manually reviewed by our team before activation — typically within a few business days — to keep the platform safe for athletes and coaches.

02

Add your roster

Bring on the athletes you represent and help complete their profiles.

03

Introduce athletes to coaches

Agencies can message college coaches directly to broker introductions and keep every conversation tracked in one place.
